Preview: Summertime de Chanel - Summer 2012

I don't know about you, but I am ready for summer.  It's not even really spring here; it's 45 degrees and raining where I am, so all I have to keep me going right now are these promo shots of Chanel's gorgeous upcoming summer collection.   Let's have a look!

More images and info after the jump!

Here are the collection highlights.  As usual, click any image to make it larger.

EYES

Ombre Contraste Duo ($42): Sable Emouvant (brown, beige)

Le Crayon Yeux Precision Eye Definer ($29): Brun Intense (deep brown)

Le Crayon Kohl Intense Eye Pencil ($28): Peche Cuivre (coppery peach)

FACE

Soleil Tan de Chanel Luminous Bronzing Powder ($65):
  • Sable Beige (golden beige for lighter skin tones)
  • Sable Rose (golden pink for darker skin tones)
LIPS

Rouge Coco Shine Hydrating Sheer Lip Shine ($32.50):
  • Empreinte (soft beige)
  • En Vogue (bright coral)
Levres Scintillantes Glossimer ($29.50):
  • Sirocco (beige)
  • Calypso (coral)

NAILS

Le Vernis Nail Color ($26):
  • Island (golden beige)
  • Delight (bronze)
  • Holiday (bright coral)

It's my understanding that all of these items are limited edition.  According to my SA at Nordstrom, the collection is due to ship on April 16, but some stores may see it slightly before or after that date.  If the past is any indication, April 16 is the latest the collection will show up on chanel.com (it's usually a little earlier than it ships to stores).  I'll be keeping my eye out.

I can't wait to try this collection ... there's something retro about it to me, something slightly 70s (but in a good way!).  I love the shimmering, sandy beiges paired with the stronger-but-still-neutral bronzes, and then the pop of orange-coral. As usual, I want all of it!

UPDATE: I forgot to include the model pic when I originally posted.  She is up there now :-)

  1. I'm with you on the corals! The glossimer especially is so pretty.

  2. Leigh - I can't wait to see that glossimer. I am wondering how orange it will be, and whether the sheerness of the formula will help me pull it off :D
