Guerlain Meteorites Cruel Gardenia Review, Swatches

Hello there!  I apologize for my absence for the past couple of weeks I had some last minute travel that came up, but I am getting back into the swing of things now.  It's good to be back!

When I first saw Guerlain's Cruel Gardenia Meteorites, I thought for sure it was mainly a cheek highlighter.  It looked so frosty in the pan, and less frosty but so shimmery when swatched, that it seemed impossible to use all over the face without looking a disco ball.  I am happy to report that this is not so.

Last week I picked up one of Burberry Beauty's new lipstick shades for Spring 2012, called Devon Sunset No. 28 ($30).  As usual with Burberry, it's love!

Burberry Sheer Eyeshadow in No. 22 Pale Barley Review, Comparisons

This Spring Burberry Beauty is releasing a new eye shadow shade called Pale Barley ($29), No.22 in their permanent lineup of Sheer Eyeshadows.  Pale Barley seems like a simple enough color, but it is actually difficult to describe.  No matter how you slice it, this is one gorgeous shadow!

Burberry Beauty Pale Barley Sheer Eyeshadow, Devon Sunset lipstick, and Nude Rose lip gloss

I happened by the Burberry counter in my local Nordstrom the other day, and the MUA was testing out some new spring shades that had just arrived.  She didn't have much information about the collection as yet, but here is what I saw in person:


Four new Soft Satin Lip Cover lipsticks:


No. 27 Tulip Pink - a light nude pink
No. 28 Devon Sunset - a peach with hints of orange and pink
No. 29 Golden Peach - a bright coral peach
No. 30 Primrose Hill Pink - a bright coral pink


One new Lip Glow Natural Lip Gloss:

No. 14 Nude Rose - a sheer peachy pink

One new Sheer Eyeshadow:

No. 22 Pale Barley - a muted antique warm greyed gold with peachy shimmer

I picked up three things so far (Devon Sunset lipstick, Nude Rose lip gloss, and Pale Barley eyeshadow).  Reviews are forthcoming!

Chanel Spring 2012 and Knightsbridge Collections - Online

Chanel has put both the Spring 2012 and Knightsbridge Collections on the U.S. side of Chanel.com, but the items are listed as out of stock.  They should be available shortly!  They are showing as available, but when you try to check out they disappear from your cart.  Items that are not from either of the new collections work just fine.  Hopefully Chanel will fix this soon! Items are now available for purchase!
