Burberry Beauty Lip Glow Trio and Gift with Purchase - Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Exclusive

As part of Nordstrom's Anniversary Sale, Burberry Beauty is offering a limited edition trio of lip glosses for $65: Rosewood No.1, Blush No.4, and Nude Beige No. 9.  I gave details about it in this post.  The colors are all part of the permanent range, but to purchase all of them it would cost $81 so the set discount is a nice one.  They are also offering a Gift with your $125 purchase that only available if you purchase from a counter.  I'll have pics of that at the end of this post.

I purchased the trio, and have photos and swatches for those of you who don't live near a counter.  This trio is available online through the Early Acces tab for cardholders, and will be available to the general public starting next Friday.

More details, photos, and swatches after the jump!

I really like the Burberry's Lip Glow formula.  It is hydrating and non-sticky; it keeps my dry lips happy and my hair doesn't get stuck in it on a windy day.  The colors are not flashy, but none of Burberry's makeup is like that.  They are very wearable shades that can be appropriate for day or evening, as you so choose to wear them.

Burberry Beauty Trio Package

The packaging was quite nice.  The three glosses came inside their individual boxes, and all three were in the bigger trio box.  The boxes are a textured beige cardboard with shiny gunmetal laminate on the inside.  Burberry always has such nice packaging, I hate to throw it away.

Onto the glosses!

Rosewood No.1 is among my favorite lip glosses.  I used to wear Bobbi Brown lip gloss in Nude practically everyday, and this has replaced it.  It's in the same cool pink nude as the Bobbi Brown gloss, but the formula is so much more to my liking.  Rosewood also has a bit more pigment to it.  It's still a my-lips-but-better shade, but it shows up a bit more on me.  I'd call it semi-sheer.  Rosewood does not contain any detectable shimmer.

Blush No.4 is the most pigmented of these three glosses.  It's a raspberry rose with a pink shimmer sheen that brightens my face when I wear it.  The coverage is semi-sheer to semi-opaque.

Nude Beige No. 9 is nude peach.  It has a rosey pink shimmer sheen that helps liven it up on the lips, but is not at all obvious.  The coverage is semi-sheer.

The photo below was taken in direct sunlight, and you can make out the shimmer sheen in Nude Beige and Blush.  As always, click to enlarge.

Order through Angie at the Burberry counter at Nordstrom Bellevue, 425-455-5800 x1043, and she can send you the GWP.  It's a black Burberry makeup bag that contains a mini Rosewood lipstick, a mirrored compact in Burberry's signature gunmetal check (it is the size of a Burberry eyeshadow compact), and a mini Burberry Body perfume:

Burberry Beauty Gift with $125 purchase - Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2012

These are all great shades that will look great on a lot of skin tones, and it's a nice value for the price.  If you would like to order them you can do so online at Nordstrom.com now if you are a cardholder, or next Friday July 20 if you do not have a Nordstrom card.  The GWP is a nice one.  I especially love the mini perfume and the mirror, which will be great when traveling.

Happy ordering!
